Metal Works is a community of loft-style townhomes located about 2 miles from Downtown, 3 miles from Midtown and about 1.5-2 miles from Inman Park and Virginia Highlands neighborhoods. Area is very industrial and goes through the transformation into more residential environment. All townhomes in Metal Works have small gated front and back yards as well as two-car garage. There is also a bedroom with a full bathroom located on the main level. On the second level you will find kitchen, dinning and two-story living areas. There is also an access to the deck of the kitchen. Master suite is located on the third level and features vaulted ceilings in the bedroom and contemporary bathroom layouts. There are concrete floors on the ground floor, “lofty” pine floors on the second and carpet on the third. Developer’s finishes are very average and usually in need of updating. However, several units have been already updated by their owners. Exterior of the units is… you guessed it… metal! The look is unusual, but inline with industrial theme. Since units are “fee simple” and there are no amenities HOA dues are extremely low (approx. $70/mo). Originally Metal Works units sold in mid to high $200’s, however we have recently seen some foreclosed units in mid $100’s range (or around $70 per square foot), which makes them an attractive buy for a first time homebuyer or an investor!
