Townhomes were the first residential buildings in Atlantic Station and along with all the excitement were selling and re-selling at amazing pace with fantastic price increases. Not to mention that they were already priced starting from mid $300k for Row townhomes, from $400’s for larger Craftsman style and to over $500k for Brownstones. Unfortunately, with all the excitement buyers have overlooked such facts as small and unattractive floorplans for the Row version, cheap finishes for Craftsman style and pretty “heavy” price for the Brownstones. But as we have mentioned in other reviews: market always finds a fair market value. And now you can find some great deals on Craftsman style townhomes in low $200’s which present great value, since it will be pretty hard to find a similar newer product close to Midtown for under $250k. As was stated above; when it comes to row version we find their layouts being too small. Craftsman style offers a variety of different layouts some with garages and media rooms (finished basements) and some without. Some offer a better grade finishes and some do not, so in this case you have to look at each individual property. Last but not least – Brownstones. These are located off 15th and State Street and in our opinion represent pretty good product with nice layouts and great finishes. There are not many on the market. However, if one can be found at reasonable price we would definitely recommend it. Briefly about location location; Atlantic Station is a “micro city” designed as huge mixed use development for residential, commercial and retail use. Grocery and retail stores, bars, restaurants and Movie Theater are all within walking distance.
